Purpose of the Screening :

To provide early intervention strategies to prevent the progression of dementia in individuals
To enhance the overall health and cognitive well-being of the elderly population
Benefits of Participation:
Early Detection and Intervention: Early identification allows for timely interventions and treatment, potentially slowing down the progression of the condition and improving the overall quality of life for those affected.
Access to Support and Care: Elderly residents in division are offered access to trained professionals who can provide necessary support and care to manage dementia symptoms effectively, not only benefits the individuals diagnosed with dementia but also offers guidance and assistance to their families in understanding and coping with the condition.
Enhanced Quality of Life: By participating in the screenings and receiving early intervention strategies, in turn, promotes a compassionate and understanding community that supports the cognitive well-being of the elderly population in Kochi City.
Every Monday, a screening session is held at the Amaravathy Sayamprabha Home for the elderly from 10:30 am to 12 pm. Trained professionals conduct these screenings to identify potential cases of dementia at an early stage.
